Volleyball
Addi Radke (Santiam Christian) had 12 kills, one dig and two block assists Saturday to lead Morningside in a three-game sweep of Northwestern College in the championship match of the Great Plains Athletic Conference in Orange City, Iowa.
Radke had 14 kills, one assist, two digs and two block assists Nov. 12 in a four-set home win against Dordt in Sioux City, Iowa.
Radke was named to the first team of the 2008 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference team, as selected by the league's head coaches.
George Fox senior middle blocker Natalie Pickett (West Albany) received honorable mention for the 2008 All-Northwest Conference team, as voted on by the league's nine coaches.
Pickett had 20 solo blocks and 88 block assists for 108 total blocks and an average of 1.10 per set. She was 43rd in the latest NCAA Division III national statistics.
Her efforts helped the Bruins to 31st nationally in team blocks with 2.16 per set. She also led the Bruins in hitting percentage at .163, and was second on the team in service aces with 21 and kills with 169.
Pickett was named Bruin Athletic Association Women's Athlete of the Week and also received honorable mention for Northwest Conference Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 3-9.
In two matches,she had 18 kills, a .286 hitting percentage, seven blocks, four digs, and two aces.
Jorden Burrows (Lebanon) had 16 assists, four digs, three block assists and one kill Saturday in Western Oregon's four-set home win against Seattle Pacific in Monmouth.
Burrows had 24 assists, six digs, two kills, one stuff block and three block assists Nov. 13 in a four-set home victory against Northwest Nazarene.
Men's swimming
Kris Asleson (Santiam Christian/South Albany) helped Whitworth win the 200-yard medley relay Nov. 14 in a home dual with Pacific Lutheran in Spokane, Wash.
The team was timed in 1 minute, 39.13 seconds.
Asleson was also second in the 100 freestyle (50.08) and fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:52.86).
Men's cross country
George Fox's Cameron Eberhart (West Albany) was 61st in Saturday's NCAA Division III West Region championship meet at Bush Pasture Park in Salem.
Eberhart finished the 8,000-meter (5-mile) course in 26 minutes, 57 seconds.
George Fox was 14th of 16 teams.
Women's cross country
Pacific's Amanda Basham (Sweet Home) was 82nd in Saturday's NCAA Division III West Region championship meet at Bush Pasture Park in Salem.
Basham completed the 6,000-meter (3.8-mile) course in 24 minutes, 43 seconds.
Pacific was 14th of 16 teams.
Men's basketball
Tyler Roberts (West Albany) had eight points, seven rebounds and six assists Saturday in Northwest Nazarene's 136-97 home win against Multnomah Bible in Nampa, Idaho.
Brian Freeman (West Albany) had three points and four rebounds Sunday in Long Beach State's 68-61 loss at Wisconsin in Madison.
Freeman had five points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal Nov. 14 in a 75-65 loss at BYU in Provo, Utah.
Alex Bourne (Lebanon) had two points, one rebound and one assist Nov. 11 in Western Oregon's 103-72 home win against Monmouth.
Alex Ritzman (Sweet Home) had two points Tuesday in Northwest Christian's 87-75 win at Walla Walla (Wash.).
Football
Matt Slauson (Sweet Home) started at offensive right guard Saturday in Nebraska's 56-28 win at Kansas State in Manhattan.
