The Oregon State men's soccer team could not pick up the season sweep over San Diego State as the Aztecs claimed a 3-0 win over the Beavers in Pac-10 Conference action on Sunday in Los Angeles.

The Aztecs got on the board first in the 24th minute as Khadim Diouf connected on a shot from 15-yards out to give SDSU the early one-goal advantage.

After a penalty kick goal in the 51st minute extended the lead to two, Matt Lemire scored the final goal for the Aztecs with just 22 seconds remaining as Oregon State was unable to get on the board.

For the contest, San Diego State held an 18-9 advantage in shots as the Aztecs held a slight, 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Oregon State (5-10-0, 2-5-0 Pac-10) hosts Loyola Marymount on Thursday.

Women's soccer

Washington State 2, OSU 1

A penalty kick goal with just under 10 minutes remaining doomed the Oregon State women's soccer team as the Beavers fell to No. 27 Washington State, 2-1 Sunday in Pullman, Wash.

Oregon State got on the board first on Jodie Taylor's 13th goal of the season.

The advantage would be short-lived; however, as Washington State answered just 24 seconds later to tie the match. The Cougars scored the game-winner late in the game on a penalty kick.

Oregon State (7-8-2 , 0-5-2 Pac-10) hosts rival Oregon on Friday.
