COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina defeated Oregon twice on Sunday to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals.
South Carolina (38-24) beat Oregon 2-0 in the early game, then defeated the Ducks 4-3 in the second on Jessica Josker's walkoff single in the bottom of the seventh.
South Carolina rallied from a three-run deficit in the bottom of the sixth. Ashton Payne hit a two-run triple and Lindsay Walker hit an RBI single to tie the game at 3-3.
The Gamecocks will face Northwestern in their Super Regional next weekend.
Oregon's Suzie Barnes tripled and then scored on Sari-Jane Jenkins' single in the first inning to give the Ducks the lead in the second game. Barnes scored again on Ann Marie Topps' sacrifice fly in the third.
Barnes scored again in the fifth for Oregon (44-19) on a four-base error for a 3-0 lead.
Reliever Melissa Rice (21-14) took the loss after allowing the game-winning run, which was unearned. Oregon intentionally loaded the bases with two-outs in the seventh before Josker's single.
Melissa Hendon (20-17) pitched two complete-game wins for South Carolina.
Oregon finished its season with 44 wins, second-most in school history.
