Volleyball

Chelsea Hartman (Lebanon) had nine kills, two digs and two block assists Saturday in Southern Oregon's four-set loss to host College of Idaho in the Cascade Conference tournament in Caldwell.

Friday, Hartman had 15 kills, three digs and five block assists in a four-set victory against Eastern Oregon.

Hartman was named the conference's newcomer of the year and earned honorable mention all-conference honors.

Hartman, a transfer from Linn-Benton Community College, finished fourth in the conference in kills at 2.99 per set and fifth in attack percentage at .277.

Cross country

George Fox senior Cameron Eberhart (West Albany) was 25th in Saturday's NCAA Division III West Regional at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College in Claremont, Calif.

He finished the 8,000-meter (5-mile) course in 26 minutes, 45 seconds.

Eberhart was named an All-West Regional selection for the third time.

He was the first George Fix finisher in all six meets he competed in this fall.

Portland State's Stephanie Deever (West Albany) was 152nd in Saturday's NCAA West Regional in Springfield.

She completed the 6,000-meter (3.7-mile) course in 24 minutes, 1 second.

Portland State was 24th of 25 teams.

Pacific's Amanda Basham (Sweet Home) was 37th in Saturday's NCAA Division III West Regional at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College in Claremont, Calif.

Basham finished the 6,000-meter course in 24:04.

Pacific was 13th of 17 teams.

Football

Robbie Zaina (Lebanon) had seven solo tackles and Matt McHenry (West Albany) added two kickoff returns for seven yards Saturday in Mendocino's 41-38 overtime home win against College of the Siskiyous.

Men's basketball

Jordan Buhler (Harrisburg) had one rebound Tuesday in Northwest Christian's 83-67 home win against Walla Walla in Eugene.

Buhler also had one rebound Saturday in a 68-54 home victory against California Baptist.

Friday, he had two points in a 61-51 win at William Jessup in Rocklin, Calif.

Men's swimming

Kris Asleson (Santiam Christian/South Albany) was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.57 seconds Saturday in Whitworth's 123-82 loss at Seattle.

He was also fifth in the 100 freestyle (51,18) and sixth in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.96).

Friday, Asleson helped his team win the 400 medley relay in a 139-65 victory at Pacific Lutheran in Tacoma, Wash.

He was also third in the 100 freestyle (51.17) and 200 breaststroke (2:26.17).

Women's swimming

Cortnee Hanson (Lebanon) was second in the 200 freestyle in 1 minute, 56.81 seconds Friday in Idaho's 168-94 win at Seattle.

She was also fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:13.62).
