SPOKANE - Logan Lotti drove in two runs and scored another as the Corvallis Knights opened a West Coast Collegiate Baseball League series with a 5-2 win over the Spokane RiverHawks on Monday night.

Lotti doubled home a run in the first, then singled home a run in the third as Corvallis jumped out to a 3-0 lead.

Spokane chipped away and made it 3-2 after single runs in the third and the seventh.

John Wallace gave the Knights some breathing room with an RBI double in the ninth to score Lotti for a 4-2 lead.

A throwing error allowed Wallace to score the fifth run.

Anthony Carrillo worked out of a jam in the seventh and closed the game for a save.

Oregon State's Kraig Sitton went 41/3 innings, giving up 10 hits and three runs to suffer the loss for Spokane, which has dropped five straight.

Billy Clontz had three hits for the Knights, who left 13 runners on.

Corvallis (7-3) and the RiverHawks (3-7) play the second of three games at 6:30 p.m. today.
