Women's track and field

Portland State senior Staci Bielenberg (West Albany) nearly broke her own school record in the 800 meters at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational on Saturday in New York City.

Bielenberg finished 10th in 2 minutes, 12.81 seconds, just .13 off the time she set last year.

Women's basketball

Jamie Martinez (Lebanon) had nine points - on three 3-pointers - and five rebounds and one assist Saturday in a 73-51 loss at Albertson in Caldwell, Idaho.

Friday, Martinez had 15 points - on five 3-pointers - in a 69-47 loss at Eastern Oregon in La Grande.

Kendall Dionne (Central Linn) had 12 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals in Corban's 66-52 home win against Evergreen State on Saturday in Salem.

Friday, she had six points, three rebounds, eight assists and two steals in a 58-51 home win against Northwest.

Jodee Wilson (Lebanon) had six points, five rebounds and two assists Feb. 1 in Western Oregon's 62-45 loss at Alaska-Anchorage.

Andrea Harris (Central Linn) had 22 points and two rebounds Wednesday in Umpqua's 116-90 loss at Linn-Benton.

Harris had two points and two rebounds Saturday in a 90-54 home loss to Clackamas in Roseburg.

Harris had one point, one rebound, one assist and one steal Jan. 31 in a 96-58 home loss to Lane.

Men's basketball

Brian Freeman (West Albany) had 14 points, 15 rebounds and four assists Wednesday in a Clackamas 86-79 win at Mount Hood in Gresham.

Freeman had 12 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals in a 97-83 win at Umpqua on Saturday in Roseburg.

Freeman had 12 points, 14 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and four steals Jan. 31 in a 99-70 home win against Portland in Oregon City.

Matt Noble (West Albany) had eight points, three rebounds, three assists Friday and one steal in George Fox's 69-59 loss at Whitman in Walla Walla, Wash.

Friday, Garrett Kauffman (Sweet Home) had one steal in Corban's 90-61 home loss to Northwest.

Men's swimming

Kris Asleson, who attended Santiam Christian and competed for South Albany, is competing at Whitman College in Spokane, Wash.

He has qualified for the Northwest Conference championships this weekend in Walla Walla, Wash.

A student in the honors business program, Asleson earned a 3.6 grade-point average in his first semester.

Wrestling

Tomas Rosa (Sweet Home) defeated Pacific's 13-4 in Southern Oregon's 35-9 home win Friday in Ashland.
