Football

Colby Prince (West Albany) caught a 12-yard pass Saturday in Oregon State's 42-10 at Washington State.

Robbie Zaina (Lebanon) had two solo tackles and four assists Saturday in Mendocino's 45-31 loss at Fresno (Calif.) City College.

Zaina, a linebacker, was also credited with a half-sack for five yards.

Volleyball

Chelsea Hartman (Lebanon) had 10 kills, three digs and four block assists Saturday in Southern Oregon's five-set home loss to Lewis-Clark State in the opening round of the NAIA national playoffs in Ashland.

Men's cross country

Bethany's Antony Earley (South Albany) finished 254th in Saturday's NAIA national championship meet at Fort Vancouver in Vancouver, Wash.

Earley finished the 8,000-meter (5-mile) course in 28 minutes, 7 seconds.

Men's swimming

Whitworth's Kris Asleson (Santiam Christian/South Albany) was second in the 100-yard breaststroke in

1 minute, 1.09 seconds Saturday in the Northwest Invitational at Lewis & Clark in Portland.

He also helped his team win the 200 freestyle relay (1:28.56) and 400 medley relay (3:37.88).

Asleson was 10th in the 50 freestyle (22.99).

Whitworth won the nine-team meet.

Men's golf

Nick Sherwood (West Albany) shot a 54-hole total of 77-772-76-225 to help Oregon State take second in the 16-team St. Mary's College Invitational, which ended Nov. 10 at Pebble Beach, Calif.
