Lebanon 40, Parkrose 13
PORTLAND - Following a 56-8 win over Parkrose to open 2008, Lebanon pulled out a 40-13 road victory Friday to start 2009.
The Warriors built a 13-0 halftime lead.
LT Avants rushed for 104 yards on 13 carries, two going for scores. Fullback Josiah Olson added 44 yards on just five carries.
Quarterback Colton Scavone tossed two touchdown passes to help the Warriors to the win.
Lebanon plays at Pendleton Friday.

SWEET HOME 28, SISTERS 12
The Huskies began their season with a victory at home over rival Sisters.
Sweet Home struck first with a 37-yard pass from Tyler Holly to Sean Potter.
Sisters came responded with back-to-back touchdowns in the second quarter. Sweet Home scored later in the quarter, and led by two at the break despite three first-half turnovers.
The third quarter was dominated by the Huskies, who scored a pair of touchdowns. Sweet Home's defense shut out the Outlaws in the second half, giving them a 28-12 win.
"I thought the kids executed well, especially in the second half," said Sweet Home coach Rob Younger. "I could not be happier with where we are at after week one."
Sweet Home hosts Molalla next Friday.

The Eagles' passing offense was in midseason form as quarterback Brian Kessi completed 13 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns in a win over 2A Central Linn.
Jeff Hendrix caught five passes for 108 yards and two scores.
Central Linn scored its only touchdown on a goal line run by quarterback Dalton Murry.
Santiam Christian plays at Rainier next Friday. Central Linn plays at Harrisburg.

The Lions fell to Mt. Douglas of Victoria, B.C. in their first game on the year.
Trailing only 14-7 at halftime, Mt. Douglas wore down Jefferson in the second half.
