Crescent Valley 67, South Albany 35

Crescent Valley raced to a 27-2 first-quarter lead and rolled to the Mid-Willamette Conference win against South Albany.

The Monday night game was a makeup contest from an earlier game that was snowed out.

Three Crescent Valley players scored 12 points in the win, while Halie Bethards led the Rebels with 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Rebels (1-18, 1-10 MWC) play at league-leading Corvallis on Wednesday.

Philomath 61, Sweet Home 39

Despite 19 points from Jenny Hamn, Sweet Home couldn't keep pace with the Warriors in the Val-Co League road game. The game was a makeup of an earlier cancellation due to snow.

Laura Schaudt led three Warriors in double figures with 16 and she also pulled down 11 rebounds.

Sweet Home continues league play today at Taft.

The Warriors couldn't stop Richan Modderman's all-around game but they did limit the high scoring guard to just two points in securing the Mountain View Conference win.

Ellen Calderon took up some of the scoring slack with 15 points in the low socring contest. She also pulled down six rebounds.

Modderman did contribute six rebounds, five steals and three assists for the Cobras.

Central Linn (13-11, 9-5) finished third in league play and enters the league playoffs this week in a rematch with North Douglas at Umpqua Community College on Friday.

Saturday the winner of the Central Linn vs. North Douglas game faces league champ Glendale for the top two seeds at the state tournament. The loser faces the winner of the #4 vs. #5 game the same day for the Mountain View's final berth.
