Geovanni Lopez scored three goals and had two assists as the Rebels routed visiting Madison, 6-1.

"We had a lot of players involved with the shots on goal, which was great, and our defense was rock solid," said South Albany coach Jim Sizemore.

Overall, the Rebels had 14 shots on goal to the Senators' two.

Sizemore credited sweeper Jacob Mowery and keeper Jonathan Esplin for anchoring the defensive effort.

The Rebels (2-1-1) host Portland's Jefferson High on Tuesday.

The only downside of the day for South Albany came in the closing seconds of the JV game when Marty Martinez went down with a broken leg. The Rebel JV won that contest 1-0.
