Central Linn 21, Glendale 6

After starting the season 0-3, the Central Linn football team is now a perfect

3-0 in Mountain View Conference play after winning Friday night at Glendale, 21-6.

Running back Bryce Baldwin opened the game's scoring with a 7-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and clinched the game for the Cobras in the fourth quarter with a 15-yard scoring run.

The senior had 46 yards on seven carries while Dalton Murry led the Cobras with 60 yards on four carries.

Jeremiah Wyne had nine rushes for 40 yards as Central Linn totaled 211 yards on the ground.

"It was a very sloppy win for us ... but we had our shining moments. A win is a win," said Cobras second-year head coach Richard Hillsman. "We could have played a little bit better... but Glendale is a pretty good little team and they played us tough."

Central Linn is tied for the MVC lead with Monroe and Hillsman already has his team thinking playoffs.

"It was a long trip out here for this game but my boys have to know, come playoff time, there isn't going to be any short trips."

Central (3-3, 3-0) hosts Yoncalla (1-3, 1-2) Friday.
