West Albany junior Mona Goudarzian was named to the 5A volleyball state tournament's first team.
Goudarzian, an outside hitter, helped the Bulldogs to a fifth-place finish for the second straight year.
West, the Mid-Willamette Conference's third seed, lost to Summit in Saturday's third-place match at Liberty High School in Hillsboro
Friday, the Bulldogs defeated Ashland in the quarterfinals and lost to Mountain View in a semifinal.
Crook County defeated Mountain View in four games for its third straight 5A championship.
Woods honored
Santiam Christian junior Tayla Woods was selected to the 3A volleyball state tournament second team.
The Eagles lost both their matches in the tournament, falling to Cascade Christian on Friday and Burns on Saturday.
Woods, a setter and hitter, was the PacWest Conference player of the year after helping her team to an undefeated conference season.
Sheridan defeated Valley Catholic in four games to win the title.
