The start of November means full-speed ahead in the postseason for area high schools.
But first there's a few league championships and state playoff seeds to decide.
That gets started today when West Albany travels to Crescent Valley with the Mid-Willamette Conference girls soccer title up for grabs.
Both teams enter the 5:30 p.m. match undefeated in conference play.
Both will have 5A state playoff matches on Nov. 10, with the winner hosting against a team to be determined and the loser going to Southern Sky Conference champion Ashland.
The Sweet Home girls play at Philomath this afternoon in a league playoff for state seeding.
A win gives the Huskies the 4A/3A/2A/1A Special District 4 first seed in the state playoffs and they would host a match next Tuesday, Nov. 10.
A loss means Sweet Home would host North Bend or Umpqua Valley Christian on Saturday.
The West Albany boys claimed the Mid-Willamette's fourth seed and will play at 2 p.m. Saturday in a 5A state playoff match at Klamath Union in Klamath Falls.
The Santiam Christian boys host Dayton in a league playoff tonight at Corvallis High School to decide state playoff bracket seeding.
Win or lose, the Eagles will play Nov. 20 in a state playoff. A win against Dayton means they will host and a loss sends them on the road.
Santiam Christian won its league title outright for the first time since 2000.
The Eagles shared a league championship in 2004 and 2005.

The Eagles play a Tri-River Conference playoff match tonight at Blanchet in Salem against the winner of Monday night's match between Culver and Western Mennonite.
The winner of tonight's match is the Tri-River's third seed and travels to Corbett on Saturday for the state playoffs.
Wednesday, Santiam Christian hosts the winner of Tuesday's Regis at Creswell match for the PacWest Conference's first seed in the 3A state playoffs.
The loser of Wednesday's match takes the second seed.
Harrisburg plays at Jefferson in a PacWest playoff tonight.
The loser is done for the season and the winner plays Wednesday at the loser of the Regis at Creswell match for the conference's third seed in the state playoffs.
Wednesday's winner plays Saturday at Cascade Christian in Jacksonville in a state playoff match.
COMING UP: The football regular season wraps up Friday night, while cross country has its state meet on Saturday.
Look for previews on those sports on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
