West Albany 11, Crescent Valley 7
Six of West Albany's 13 hits went for extra-bases as the Bulldogs outscored host Crescent Valley, 11-7.
West's Tyler George hit his fifth home run of the year to spark a three-run second before centerfielder Jesse Lear-Konold broke the 3-3 tie with a two-run shot with two outs in the fourth inning.
West would score seven runs in the inning to pad the lead and ride it out to their fourth Mid-Willamette victory in as many games.
"Having a strong preseason schedule (Thurston and Jesuit) has really helped us get ready for our tough league play," West Albany coach Don Lien said.
West Albany (6-3, 4-0) will host Crescent Valley today.

Spartans shortstop Aaron Corwin went 4 for 4 with a double and a home run to drive in five of his team's nine runs against host Lebanon.
Lebanon's Jon Hiebert came in relief in the fourth inning and went the rest of the way, striking out seven while surrendering one run in in 32/3 innings work.
"Corvallis did a good job and jumped on us early," said Lebanon coach Jeff Stolsig.
Lebanon (1-6, 0-4) plays at Corvallis on Wednesday.

Steven Bidwell hit a lead-off double as the Huskies jumped out to a 2-0 first-
inning lead on their way to a road victory in their Val-Co League opener.
"We were able to put a couple of big hits together in the fourth and we also got them when we needed them," said Sweet Home coach Dan Tow. "Going on the road is tough and Central has a good club, but the kids did a good job of competing hard tonight."
Sweet Home (4-2, 1-0 Val-Co League) will host Philomath on Friday.

Korey Alexander struck out eight in seven innings of no-hit work as the Eagles beat host Regis.
Jake Kummer drove in three of SC's 11 runs while going 3 for 3.
Regis committed nine errors while Ryan Hansen, Grant Knowles and Paul Lancaster each tallied two hits.
"He really did an excellent job of making the pitches he needed to and keeping them off balance," Santiam Christian coach Matt Nosack said. "I wouldn't say he had his best stuff tonight but he did what he needed to do to win."
Santiam Christian (7-2, 2-0) will host Pleasant Hill tonight.
