Both Jefferson and Santiam Christian committed eight errors in their PacWest Conference baseball game, but the visiting Eagles came away with a 10-8 victory behind Ryan Hansen's 13 strikeouts.
The Eagles' starting pitcher aided his own effort with two hits. SC's Josh Wonsley, Nathaniel Theodore and Paul Lancaster also added two hits apiece, with Lancaster driving in two of his three runs on a first-inning double.
Ryan Montgomery had two RBIs for Jefferson while catchers Jake Marlatt and Blake Shelton each drove in a run.
Jefferson (4-5, 0-3) will host Waldport today while Santiam Christian (11-2, 3-0) hosts Regis.

Jefferson's Jaime Yzaguirre and Santiam Christian's Quincey Davis each hit two-run home runs in the PacWest Conference contest.
But the Eagles padded a 7-6 lead with a seven-run fifth inning to secure the win.
Stephanie Engel and Brianna Wanner each had two hits, including a double, for Jefferson while Adi Montijano added another double for the Lions.
Jefferson (2-7, 0-3) hosts Waldport today, while Santiam Christian (5-6, 2-1) hosts Regis.

Nolan Knox and Casey Sullivan took down Rob Lewis and Aiden Engelking 6-3, 6-2, while Aaron Koob tallied the Rebels' singles victory with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Allen Chern.
South Albany (4-4, 2-4 MWC) will host Silverton on Tuesday.

GOLF
West Albany wins invitational
The West Albany girls golf team bested second-place Roseburg by 37 strokes to win the South Eugene Invitational at Tokatee Golf Club.
West's Katie Ortman shot an 81 as the tournament medalist, hitting a hole-in-one on a par-4.
The 220-yard double eagle on the 14th hole was Ortman's second ace in 10 years.
Kara Hartman was second overall with an 84, while Hailey Thomas shot an 86 to give the Bulldogs a sweep of the top three spots on the leaderboard.
West Albany competes in a conference tournament Monday at Mallard Creek.
