Junior tailback Anthony LaCoste carried the Bulldogs to a 48-14 victory and a 2-0 start to the season as West Albany defeated Jefferson in Portland.

LaCoste scored all four of West Albany's first half touchdowns as the Bulldogs took a 27-8 lead into the break.

Reese Miller completed just one of his three passes on the night, but it went for a 20-yard touchdown to Elliott O'Bryan to begin the second-half scoring.

LaCoste added his fifth score of the night on a 46-yard run in the third quarter, raising his total to 312 yards on 20 carries.

The Bulldogs ran for a team total of 414 yards while the defense held the Democrats to 221 yards of total offense.

West Albany (2-0) will host Hillsboro on Friday.
