West Albany 9, Crescent Valley 5
West Albany backed Kristin Warner's two-hit pitching with big bats to record a 9-5 win over Crescent Valley.
Warner didn't give up an earned run and her teammates put together a late rally scoring four in the eighth to get the Mid-Willamette Conference softball win.
Warner, who struckout eight, was plagued by five walks but was mostly in control despite four errors behind her.
The West hitters made up for it late, stringing together five hits in the extra frame to plate the four runs.
Stephanie Johnson, Kayleen Gary, Kayla Dell and Lacey Dixon all had two hits in the game. Dixon and Jean Stevens, who tripled, each drove in a pair.
"I'm really proud of the way Kristin pitched," said West coach Rocky Erner. "She's been in every game for us and is just getting better."
West Albany (5-2-1, 4-0) plays a make-up MWC game today at Lebanon and then hosts Crescent Valley in the finale of their three- game series on Friday.
